POEM OF THE MOMENT

GREEN BOW
 
I sit for a moment
On the cuddling bench
A brief rendezvous 
With the Divine
 
The river and mill pool meet
Crossed by a broad ford
Where children and fishermen
Are caught in recreation
 
I am caught in awe
This autumn morning
Like a fish in water
The movement sublime
 
Beside the waters
Ley lines flow 
One neath the seat
I am sitting on
 
Out comes my camera
And now a week later
I sit in front of the photo
Accurately depicting this scene
 
Frozen and inked with
Bubble jet magic
Recreated 
An offering
 
On the alter here
My dining table
A sacred scene
Awaiting resurrection
 
Drawing will suffice at first
Vectors of expression
Followed by pixels of colour
All vying to catch the eye
 
How can we recreate the Divine..
Encase it in a painted shell?
Nothing material can
Capture the movement
 
That movement 
Only by following
Can I come near to it
Like the bird on a perch
 
It flies
Yet remains
Returns 
To vanish again
 
Follow absorb
Let go, yet feel
Like dancing
Drawing 
 
I see a green bow
Across the river 
Arching
Drawn
 
Leaves and grasses shiver
Waters shimmering
Flickering light
Magic 
 
Like the kingfisher
Fleeting
Regal 
So easily missed
